You're not alone - this is one of the most, (if not the most) common issues I get asked for help with. It's something that almost every dog owner goes through, although some will experience greater issues with it than others. It's important to know that however bad it is, firstly it's totally fixable, and secondly, it's all totally normal.
This package gives us the chance to change things for good. We'll work closely together over 3x 1:1 Sessions to achieve positive, lasting change - no more stressful walks or aching shoulders!

Call
We'll chat for 30 minutes remotely, covering all the general background information that I need to make sure our training will cover every base when it comes to pulling on the lead.
Then, we'll chat more specifically about the issue, and get the ball rolling with advice for you on next steps. We can also discuss any specific needs you may have, eg. mobility issues.
Training Plan Created
Following our call, I'll put all of the informFollowing our call, I'll put all of the information gathered together and come up with a fully tailored training plan to suit your goals and needs. This will follow the general outline of my lead pulling programme, but will be adapted as needed to suit your needs. For instance, adjustments can be made to accommodate mobility aids.
1:1 Sessions
During your 1:1 Sessions, we'll work together on the exercises and information needed to complete your training plan and get you closer towards achieving your goals! These sessions happen at your home, and each will be supplemented by a writeup with your instructions for practice, and video context where applicable. If you wish to continue with sessions following completion of the number included in the package, we'll book those in!
Ready to get started?
Let's face it, often when we walk our dogs it's not so much about us & them in that environment together, it's about the dog being released to seek out enjoyment and engagement from the world around them - we're just kind of there! We need to get some of that interest and engagement back in order to tackle pulling on the lead...
Your dog probably knows how to work for treats or toys, but how effective is that in an exciting environment? If you feel that your dog loses all interest in treats when you're out on walks then you're not alone - we'll talk about how to harness your dog's interest in other things as a way to get the behaviour that you'd like - win-win!
It might seem absurdly simple, but as we all know, dogs have 4 legs, humans have 2! That tiny difference accounts for a lot of the issues many of us face when it comes to lead walking - after all, 4 legs surely walk twice as fast as 2, even if they are shorter! Differences in gait account for a great deal of the trouble we face.
Changing the relationship your dog has with their lead can go a long, long way towards resolving lead walking issues. Often, the lead can come to = crazy time because it predicts so much fun. We don't need to make the lead boring or bad, but we can easily make the lead = a cue to walk nicely at your side for other rewards. Yay!
